Sowing Seeds of Change
In a powerful display of solidarity for a greener world, Freedom Hive Uganda’s Western region coordinator spearheaded a successful “Green Uganda Campaign” at Uganda Martyr’s high School Kitagwenda district. This event aimed to empower young women and girls to take the lead in combating climate change. Empowering Youth, Ensuring a Greener Tomorrow Environmental activist Alex Kwikirize rallied the community to join forces in the fight against climate change. The campaign’s message resonated deeply with students, teachers, and parents, who collectively planted trees and held placards advocating for climate action. “Freedom Hive Uganda believes that the youth hold the key to a greener future,” said Alex Kwikirize. “By educating and empowering them, we can create a ripple effect that inspires meaningful change.” Standing in Solidarity with COP29 The campaign’s timing coincided with the on-going COP29 conference, where world leaders are gathering to address the climate crisis. Freedom Hive Uganda’s stance sends a powerful message: Uganda’s youth demand climate action now. A Call to Action Freedom Hive Uganda invites everyone to join the green revolution.
