Empowering Girls and Women to Green Uganda
Join our movement to combat climate change and promote sustainable development. At Freedom Hive Uganda, we recognize the disproportionate impact of climate change on women and girls. To address this, we’ve launched the “Green Uganda, Plant Trees” campaign, empowering girls and women to take action against climate change. This initiative aims to promote climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental conservation.
Our Vision: A Uganda where women and girls are leading agents of change in combating climate change, promoting sustainable development and protecting the environment.
Our Mission: To empower 10,000 girls and women to plant 50,000 trees across Uganda by 2026 enhancing climate resilience, economic empowerment, and environmental conservation.
Why Trees? Trees help: 1. Mitigate climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide2. Enhance biodiversity and ecosystem services 3. Provide livelihood opportunities through sustainable forest management 4. Promote community-led conservation initiatives #PlantTrees #GreenUganda #ClimateJustice
