A Cry for Justice: Sexually assaulted and imprisoned
In the quiet suburbs of Kibuye, a single mother’s life was shattered by tragedy. Robinah Nampiima, a resilient and dedicated parent, had overcome countless challenges to provide for her three children. However, on a fateful night in 2024, her world crumbled. A customer attempted to steal from her small bar and violently attacked her, leaving her with a gaping wound on her stomach. Despite her bravery, Robinah’s nightmare had only just begun. Instead of receiving protection and justice, she was arrested, detained, and subjected to inhumane treatment by the very officers sworn to protect her. Afande Bruce, a police officer at Kibuye Police Station, exploited Robinah’s vulnerability, soliciting bribes and sexually assaulting her. The trauma worsened when Robinah, already pregnant, lost her unborn child due to the brutal treatment. Her children, aged 23, and two younger siblings, were left to fend for themselves. Today, Robinah languishes in Luzira Women’s Prison, charged with murder. Her family and FHU demand justice. We call upon: 1. The Ugandan Judicial System to scrutinize Robinah’s case. 2. The Police Force to investigate Afande Bruce’s actions. 3. Ensuring accountability for the heinous crimes committed against Robinah. Join us in advocating for Robinah’s rights Share her story, demand justice, and support our quest for truth #JusticeForRobinah #EndPoliceBrutality #ProtectWomenRights

Robinah must get justice. Ugandan judicial system and women probono services should stand their ground and save Robina from the dungeons of Luzira.
