FIX THE ROADS UGANDA CAMPAIGN 2025
Today, we officially launched the #FixTheRoadsUG campaign in Katooke, a community located on the outskirts of Kampala that continues to suffer from neglected and dilapidated road infrastructure. Residents here face daily challenges mud-filled roads during the rainy season and overwhelming dust during the dry season making it nearly impossible to run businesses or move safely and efficiently.
This campaign is not limited to Katooke. Over the coming weeks, we will be traveling to various parts of the country, engaging with communities and hearing firsthand accounts from those affected by poor road conditions. These are not isolated issues, they reflect a nationwide crisis of failed service delivery and widespread neglect.
The mission of #FixTheRoadsUG is twofold, to demand accountability from those in charge of public infrastructure and service delivery and to raise awareness about how corruption and the embezzlement of public funds are directly responsible for the collapsing road network in Uganda.
We believe that every Ugandan deserves safe, accessible, and functional roads. This campaign is a call to action for leaders to serve the tax payers, and for citizens to unite in demanding better.
